On Wednesday, June 17, 2009 we were with Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville, Nc.  Darrel Cox is the pastor.  While we were there we got to go soul winning and I presented our ministry during the service.  It was a joy for us to make new friends at Trinity.  Bro. Cox brought a great message about running from, to, for, and with the Lord.  Trinity Baptist is a great church with a heart for souls.  While out soul winning the group saw five people receive Jesus as Saviour.  Praise the Lord for that!  Please remember this church and pastor in your prayers and may God bless you as you serve Him.

On Sunday, June 14, 2009 we were with Bible Baptist Church in Gastonia, Nc for their morning services.  Daniel Douglass is the pastor.  While there I presented our ministry, my family sang, and I brought the morning message.  I don’t know when I been in a church that sings like this church.  There were probably 20-30 in attendance but wow! did they sing.  After the service Bro. Daniel and his family took us to eat Chinese.  We sure enjoyed the fellowship.  It was great to be part of the services on this day.  It was a treat to spend some time with Bro. Daniel.  His father and I are very good friends.  It just made our visit all the more special.  Please remember this church and pastor when you pray.  God bless you as you serve Him.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2009 we were at Reidsville Baptist Church in Reidsville, Nc.  Jerry Carter is the pastor.  On this night, I presented our ministry, our family sang, and then I preached.  We really enjoyed being with these dear folk.  They were so friendly and made us feel at home.  They have a great spirit and it’s obvious that they care about souls.  The church meets in a elementary school they purchased some time ago and they also have a Christian school as well.  At the close of the service many came to the altar to pray.  Please pray for this great church and their pastor.  May God bless you.

On Sunday, June 7, 2009 we were with Crossroads Baptist Church in Chocowinity, NC for their evening service.  The pastor is Earl Edwards.  On this night I preached and our family sang and we sure did have a good time.  The people were so nice and they really made us feel at home.  Before we left Bro. Earl told me if we are ever back in the area to stop by and be ready to preach.  Hopefully we will get a chance to do that.  We would love to see our new friends in Chocowinity again.  Please remember this church and pastor when you pray.

On Sunday, June 7, 2009 we were with Freedom Baptist Church in Simpson, NC for the morning service.  The pastor is J. T. Edwards.  I brought the message on this morning and our family provided some special music as well.  We sure did enjoy being at this church.  They have a sweet spirit and they really enjoy preaching. After the service, while in Greenville, our family had the opportunity to share the Gospel with many people.  At the end of the day we saw 6 people pray and receive Christ as Saviour.  Praise the Lord!  Please remember this church as you pray.  May God bless you.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2009 we were at Northview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC.  Brooks Grimes is the pastor.  While at the church I presented our ministry and preached.  The Lord truly met with us that night.  It was a blessing to see old friends again.  Bro. Grimes and I met while I was serving in the Army at Fort Bragg.  Mrs. Doris Grimes (Preacher’s wife) led my wife to the Lord almost 21 years ago. We also enjoyed a meal and fellowship time with Bro. and Mrs. Grimes. We had a wonderful time!  Northview Baptist is doing a great work.  They are reaching many people with the Gospel in the Fayetteville area and around the world.  Please remember them as you pray.

On Sunday, May 17, 2009 we were at Central Baptist Church in Jasper Alabama for the evening service.  The pastor is Daryl Wilson.  During the evening service I had the opportunity to present our ministry and preach.  The girls also provided a special for the service.  It was exciting to take part in their pre-service prayer meeting.  15 minutes before the service begins everyone gathers at the altar.  They take prayer request and then everyone prays.  I like this idea and I am planning to use it in our church in the Philippines.  This church has a great spirit.  I sure did have liberty to preach here and we really enjoyed getting to know these folk.  Please remember this work when you pray and may the Lord bless you as you serve Him.

On Sunday, May 17, 2009 we were at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Decatur Alabama for the morning service.  The pastor is Paul Stowe.  Bro. Stowe allowed me to use the Sunday school hour to present our ministry and to take questions.  I enjoyed that very much.  I also preached the morning service and my girls provided the special music.  After the service, the Matthews (a couple in the church) and the pastor and his wife took us to a nice restaurant for lunch.  We sure enjoyed the fellowship with these dear people.  When our waitress came to serve us we were surprised to find that she was from the Philippines.  Her name is Sheila.  During the course of our meal/fellowship I noticed that Ashley and Sheila were talking at the other end of the table.  Then I noticed that Sheila was praying.  When she looked up her eyes were full of tears.  After she left Ashley mouthed to me that Sheila had just gotten saved.  We rejoiced to hear that.  It was truly a blessing.  As we were leaving Sheila hugged each of us and thanked us for being her friend.  I was saddened to think that we might not see her again but that thought soon faded as I realized that we will meet again when Jesus comes!  Hallelujah! We will not soon forget our visit at Cornerstone Baptist.  Please remember this church when you pray.  May God bless you as you serve Him.

Please pray for my dear friend, Dr. Dave Douglass. Bro. Douglass is a missionary working with A.N.O.M. (All Nations Outreach Ministries) a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida. Recently he has been diagnosed with some very serious health problems. I am asking each of you to join us in prayer that God would miraculously heal Bro. Douglass. Bro. Douglass’ desire is to spend his life reaching people with the Gospel. Just the other day he and I were talking and he shared with me that he would really like to return to the field and and finish his course there. I would really appreciate your prayers for this dear friend and I know that he would too. Thank you for praying and God bless you!

On May 3, 2009 were were with Zion Hill Baptist Church in McNeill, Ms.  Mike Phillips is the pastor.  It was a great blessing for us to get to know the pastor and this church.  They have a wonderful spirit here.  I enjoyed presenting our ministry and I really enjoyed preaching for the morning service.  These folk really seem to enjoy preaching.  It was an honor to fill the pulpit.  The girls did a great job singing.  Many commented on their specials.  As the pastor and I talked I learned that he and I have been in many of the same churches in the Philippines.  We knew many of the same people there as well.  I was thrilled to revisit some of the memories of the Philippines that I have and Bro. Phillips seemed to enjoy it at well.  After the service Bro. and Mrs. Phillips treated us to a great meal a the Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant.  We had a great time of fellowship and the food was great too.  Please pray for this church that God would continue to bless as Bro. Phillips leads these dear people for the glory of God.
